· Creation of an information system with internet access and satellite infrastructure:
· The local staff received a training about how the net works and should be maintained.
· The medical staff received training thanks to satellite tele-conference sessions.
Achieved Results
Since its beginning in 2010, the project has led to the computerization of several hospital services which makes the clinical activity much easier and to the creation of an information laboratory where the local staff is able to manage the information equipment and the telemedicine and distance-learning connections by himself. Therefore, several synchronous and asynchronous telemedicine and distance-learning connections between the local medical staff and the doctors of San Raffaele Hospital of Milan were fulfilled. These sessions regarded nephrology and cardiology topics.
The third and last project year, which is ending by 2012, schedules further technical assistance in loco with training aim.
