Objective

To support Christian communities, through responding to basic needs, protecting rights, promoting socio-economic inclusion, fostering reconciliation and inter-religious dialogue.

Activities

  • Rehabilitation and maintenance of rural water and sanitation resources.
  • Community-based vocational training in rural water and sanitation maintenance and support for economic and labour inclusion.
  • Capacity building in sustainable water and sanitation management at community and local authority level.
  • Awareness-raising at community level.
  • Renovation and expansion of health services at the Mar Narsai Primary Health Care Centre to activate a delivery room and diagnostic unit.
  • Training and activation of community-based health workers to support the most vulnerable (especially the elderly, people with disabilities, women victims of violence) in 10 Christian villages in Duhok Province.
