Objective
Provide quality mental health services to IDPs, refugees and host community in Duhok Province
Activities
- strengthen the capacity of DGoH Duhok to provide access to quality and quantity mental health support services and treatment: recruit staff and furnish a Mental Health Coordination office at DHoH Duhok
- provide capacity development programs designed with DGoH Duhok to improve the clinical / managerial competences of mental health staff: develop action plan with SOPs and guidelines, map existing services and develop a monitoring and evaluation plan
- strengthen the integration of mental health services into PHC level to improve prevention and early detection, make follow up of patients more accessible, reduce stigma and promote social integration: design and implement capacity development program, design and disseminate awareness material
- improve referrals from PHCs to specialized services
- improve and equip the available services at Azadi Hospital and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Centre according to international standards: design and implement capacity development program, renovation and maintenance works at Azadi Hospital and CAMHC, Organization of mobile outreach services, Supply of psychotropic medications, Design and disseminate awareness material
